Rescue poles are used in rescue operations to remove casualty from the danger area. It is designed for use as an aide in assisted-rescue applications when the fallen worker is donning a Self-Rescue detachable descent device. They are not designed for use in wet conditions. A rescue pole enables emergency services, search/rescue teams, and members of public to conduct swift, directionally-accurate rescues by retrieving casualties from safe distances. This minimizes the danger posed to the rescuer whilst also boosting casualty survival chances.
High demand for rescue equipment due to increasing number of casualties and increasing number of rescue operations, increasing focus on human safety, increasing awareness among people, and favorable government initiatives are major factors expected to propel growth of the global rescue polemarket during the forecast period.
In August 2022, C-Hero announced the launch of a new recue pole. The new C-Hero Rescue Kit is designed to reach the person in need, attach a recovery strap and allow a rapid one or two-person recovery. Moreover, the company's davits now offers a fixed position, hinge up or swivel to the side, for ease of pulling the person over the bulwarks. The davits combined with the rescue poles allow for a one-person rescue. C-Hero's VR-12 or HR-12 rescue poles come with a 14’ reach and provide vertical or horizontal rescues.
