Polyether ionophores antibiotics group consists of natural, biologically active substances produced by Streptomyces spp species. Polyether antibiotics have antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral, antiparasitic, and tumor cell cytotoxicity properties. Commercially, polyether ionophores antibiotics are majorly used to control coccidiosis. It is also used as growth promoters in cattle.
