CMI’s new report projects Mexico’s adhesives and bonding market to reach US$ 1,142.5 Million by 2033 and examines changing formulation preferences.
Mexico — October 2026: Coherent Market Insights (CMI) has been named Knowledge Partner for Adhesives & Bonding Expo Mexico 2026, organized by Informa Markets through its Smarter Shows portfolio. The event will be held from October 14–16, 2026, at Centro Banamex in Mexico City.
As Knowledge Partner, CMI will bring data-driven market intelligence to exhibitors, buyers, and decision-makers across Latin America’s adhesives and bonding value chain. To mark the partnership, CMI is releasing a new market intelligence report, Mexico Adhesives & Bonding Industry Analysis & Opportunity Assessment – Market Size, Trends & Forecast (2026–2033).
Mexico’s adhesives and bonding market is projected to grow from US$ 752.2 million in 2026 to US$ 1,142.5 million by 2033, at a CAGR of 6.2%. Globally, CMI values the market at US$ 63.54 billion in 2025, projected to reach US$ 103.04 billion by 2033 at a CAGR of 6.3%. Mexico is growing at a similar pace, though its growth is driven by different factors, particularly manufacturing. CMI’s research examines the factors driving this growth and the opportunities emerging across manufacturing applications.
What the Report Shows: Demand Shaped by Manufacturing and Formulation Change
Packaging is the largest end-use segment, accounting for a 27.4% share in 2025. Building and construction comes next, followed by automotive.
The bigger shift is in formulations. Buyers are moving away from conventional solvent-based adhesives toward water-based, hot-melt, reactive, and application-specific systems. Water-based products remain the largest formulation segment. Hot-melt adhesives are expected to gain substantial share as packaging, automotive, electronics, medical devices, aerospace, and construction increasingly rely on automated assembly.
“What strikes me in the numbers is how practical the shift is,” said Raj Shah, Founder and CEO, Coherent Market Insights. “Plant managers aren’t chasing new chemistry for its own sake. They want faster cycle times, cleaner processes and a bond that holds in the application. Adhesives that meet all three requirements are more likely to gain traction.”
