As a featured speaker, Mr. Mohit Shrivastava, AVP – Research & Consulting of Coherent Market Insights, demonstrated a structure assessment methodology. This was designed to find out the top 1,000 Energy Leaders in India and ultimately select the country’s most influential 200 Energy Leaders. In order to guarantee transparency, neutrality, and credibility in the assessment, CMI used multi-stage screening framework and sector-wide mapping process along with independent validation mechanisms.
Promoting Clean-Energy Leadership Discussion in India
Senior executives, policymakers, innovators, and investors took part in the Energy Leaders of India Conclave. Their participation promoted innovative discussions on technologies, growth strategies, and collaborations reshaping the nation’s path to a low-carbon, future-ready economy. The conclave is a prominent venue for honoring those who are actively influencing the renewable energy environment in India, in the areas of solar, wind, hydropower, biomass, green hydrogen, energy storage, hybrid systems, and emerging grid technologies.
The Role of CMI: Developing a Credible Benchmark for Energy Leadership
As s Research Partner, CMI played an important role designing and conducting a rigorous, data-driven, two-phase evaluation process.
Phase 1 – Identifying and Mapping 1,000 Leaders
CMI conducted a thorough national mapping of energy leaders operating throughout the clean-energy ecosystem in India. Public databases, regulatory filings, industry associations such as CII, FICCI, and NASSCOM, company sustainability reports, trade publications, expert interviews, and structured outreach via professional platforms like LinkedIn were all used to find the candidates.
A minimum of three years in a strategic or decision-making leadership role, sector alignment across specified clean-energy verticals, active professional presence within the renewable or clean-energy ecosystem in India, and demonstrated contributions to renewable capacity addition, technology deployment, or energy-transition initiatives were all prerequisites for eligibility.
This phase was centered on diversity and inclusivity, with intentional representation across technological verticals, organizational scales, regions, and career phases, including a strong emphasis on emerging leaders under 40 who are fueling breakthrough clean-energy innovation.
Phase 2 – Assessing and Recognizing the Top 200 Energy Leaders
A rigorous, weighted evaluation approach was applied to 200 profiles from the original pool. Six factors were used to evaluate business-leader parameters: Renewable & Clean Energy Impact (30%), Innovation & Technology Impact (20%), Sustainability & Climate Contribution (15%), Leadership Excellence & Governance (15%), Influence & Industry Recognition (10%), and Emerging Leadership (10%).
The evaluation procedure comprised data standardization to assure fairness across sectors and organizational sizes. This is followed by jury scoring by independent domain experts and a final validation round to check impact claims, leadership qualifications, and recognition histories.
In order to verify legitimacy and role accuracy, each profile also underwent extensive desk-level verification utilizing publicly available sources, such as LinkedIn, MNRE and MoP portals, DISCOM and regulatory filings, and reputable energy-sector news channels.
Facilitating Data-Driven Recognition in India's Energy Transition
CMI used this evidence-based, multi-layered research approach to develop measurable sustainable outcomes, strengthen accountability, and create a reliable, independent standard for energy leadership recognition in India.
The partnership demonstrates CMI's commitment to facilitating well-informed decision-making while fostering industry-wide innovation and broader clean-energy transformation objectives of India.
