The ET NOW Best Tech Brands 2025 initiative came into being to create a systematic, evidence-based recognition framework based on quantifiable business success, innovation capability, operational scale, and consumer impact.

The initiative’s objective was to categorized tech brands on visibility as well as on sustained financial strength, strategic execution, and innovation depth in a setting characterized by fast-paced digital changes and emerging technologies.

The Role of CMI as a Research Partner: Establishing a Transparent Technology Standard

CMI’s role as a Research Partner for the ET NOW Best Tech Brands 2025 involved designing and implementing a comprehensive, multi-stage assessment approach to pinpoint most reliable and successful tech brands in India.

At the start of the process, using organized primary and secondary research, CMI conducted a nationwide intelligence-led mapping exercise identifying 1,000 technology brands. Regulatory filings with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Startup India, DPIIT and MeitY databases, industry bodies such as NASSCOM and the Confederation of Indian Industry, and stock exchange disclosures from NSE and BSE India were among the verified sources. CMI further relied on company reports, reliable media coverage, and technology ecosystem databases for the evaluation process. This guaranteed thorough presence in the following areas: enterprise IT, fintech, AI, cloud, cybersecurity, IoT, telecom, consumer technology, and emerging innovation segments.

CMI screened all identified brands under mandatory eligibility criteria, such as operational presence in at least two Indian states, a minimum three-year track record, and proved technology-led offerings. CMI further categorized the companies on the basis of revenue scale to ensure balanced representation of large, mid-sized, and growth-stage enterprises.

Following a structured validation, a weighted scoring system was used to assess the financial performance, client base strength, innovation capability, customer satisfaction, strategic efforts, and expansion trajectory of the shortlisted brands. The majority of the composite score was considered the primary performance indicators. The final evaluation was then refined by growth momentum, partnerships, technological breakthroughs, and market positioning.

From the initial 1,000 tech brands, CMI selected the Top 200 Best Tech Brands using cumulative scoring and multi-layer validation. CMI’s approach made sure that recognized brands exhibit measurable performance, technological differentiation, customer impact, and sustained strategic relevance in the evolving digital economy in India.
