On September 10, the final of the third season of Generation H, a healthtech startup accelerator run by SET University and Tokarev Foundation, took place in Kyiv. The grand prize went to AtriaPRM, a team that uses artificial intelligence to automate doctors’ work with medical documentation. An additional prize was awarded to Enhance Your Ability, a platform for children who do not use spoken language, following an audience vote.
AtriaPRM’s solution transforms diagnostic reports, test results, and consultation notes into structured data. This helps partially automate clinical workflows, patient communication, and care coordination. Enhance Your Ability, meanwhile, brings together augmentative and alternative communication tools, educational content, and support for parents, therapists, and schools working with children with special needs.
The other finalists were
- TomoPulse, which analyzes digital chest tomosynthesis data for diagnostic purposes;
- OBRIY, which combines a licensed clinic, telemedicine, AI-powered triage, and a unified electronic patient record;
- PRM, which helps patients perform exercises prescribed by their physiotherapists.
The teams completed a ten-week program that, for the first time this season, was open to participants from outside Ukraine. Their mentors included Fergus O’Dea (FIRE1, Keimon Medical), Eric Henry (King & Spalding), Alexa Sinyachova (Moeco, Techstars), and Volodymyr Nerubenko (TerraLab, Lab24).
“Healthtech in Ukraine is no longer an experiment; it has become an industry with its own leaders who are already expanding beyond the country. These are exactly the kinds of founders we were looking for. And that is precisely why Generation H exists: we want the whole world to believe in Ukrainian healthtech as much as we do,” said Yevheniia Klepa, Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at SET University.
Generation H launched in 2024 as a national platform for developing Ukraine’s healthtech ecosystem. Since then, more than 30 startups and over 60 mentors and speakers have taken part in the program. Alumni have participated in IT Arena, EIT Jumpstarter, Google for Startups, and TechCrunch Startup Battlefield 200, and have collectively raised more than UAH 11 million in investment.
“My main message to the teams is: be more ambitious. Ukraine today is a place where innovation happens under pressure. We are creating solutions that are needed not only here, but around the world. That is why it is important to learn how to combine social impact with a viable business model,” emphasized Anastasiia Dieieva, CEO of Tokarev Foundation.
The foundation works with technology projects across various sectors. But in healthtech, according to Serhiy Tokarev, outcomes carry particular significance.
“We talk about healthtech, but what we are really talking about is life. Because success here is measured not only by a company’s valuation, revenue, or number of users. Sometimes it means a person being able to walk again, a doctor having enough time to save a patient, or a family getting another chance. That is exactly why we created Generation H. And I want the world’s next major healthtech company to be born right here in Ukraine,” emphasized Serhiy Tokarev, founder of Tokarev Foundation and co-founder of SET University.
The third season of Generation H was implemented as part of the EUNITED Digital Hub, co-funded by the European Union under the Digital Europe Programme.
