Oseltamivir phosphate is indicated for the treatment of influenza A, influenza B, and Others. It reduces the symptoms caused by influenza virus such as stuffy nose, cough, sore throat, fever/chills, aches, and tiredness. Moreover, the medicine reduces the recovery time by 1-2 days. This medication may also be used to prevent the flu if the person is exposed to other patient who already is suffering from flu or if there is a flu pandemic in the community. The mode of action for the treatment is that, this medication works by stopping the flu virus from growing. The medicine should be taken at the proper time interval as prescribed by the doctor.
