
Lactalis UK & Ireland has launched a new spreadable cheese under its Leerdammer brand, the brand's first expansion beyond its core range of sliced cheese.
Leerdammer Original Spreadable (125g) contains the brand's own distinctive mild and nutty taste in a soft, smooth presentation ideal for spreading over sandwiches, bagels, and crackers.
The product launch would extend the appeal of Leerdammer and reach new usage situations, as the brand moves into the category of spreadable cheeses.
According to coherent market insights, the cheese industry will grow at 5.7% CAGR during the forecast period of 2025-2032. The size of the existing market is USD 110.11 Bn in the year 2025 and will reach around USD 162.42 Bn in the year 2032. Market size is driven by the growing disposable incomes of consumers.
