Ester Loop Infinite Technologies Pvt. Ltd (ELITe), a 50‑:50 joint venture between Ester Industries Ltd (India) and Loop Industries (Canada), has inked international supply (offtake) and partnership agreements as it gears up to launch its Infinite Loop™ recycled polyester facility in Gujarat, India.
The plant still under development will produce chemically recycled materials including rDMT, rMEG and rPET for textiles, automotive components, and other applications.
Under a new supply agreement, ELITe will deliver Loop™-branded 100% recycled Dimethyl Terephthalate (DMT) to Italy’s Taro Plast S.p.A., a producer of thermoplastic compounds.
Applications demanding high-performance polymers, especially in the automotive industry will be utilizing the recycled DMT. Taro Plast has confirmed that the supplied material caters to the stringent purity as well as quality standards aligned with its sustainability goals.
In a parallel development, Loop Industries has formed a strategic alliance with South Korea’s Hyosung TNC to support the textile sector’s shift toward recycled materials. The partnership combines Loop’s chemical recycling process along with Hyosung’s expertise in performance yarns.
Under this alliance, Loop’s branded Twist™ resin produced from post-consumer textile waste will be converted by Hyosung into Regen™ performance yarns, already adopted by major apparel and activewear brands.
Executive Statement
According to Arvind Singhania, Chairman of Ester Industries Ltd, stated, these agreements represent a key step in establishing ELITe as a reliable supplier of sustainable materials for international markets. The facility in Gujarat, supported by technology from Loop and operational expertise from Ester, demonstrates how Indian industry can participate in global circular value chains.
