The automatic Figo is also expected to be equipped with paddle shifters, which may help drivers to extract max power from the hatchback.

Ford, an American carmaker is planning to launch the petrol automatic Figo hatchback in late August 2020. In February 2020, the company launched the BS-VI compliant Figo, with petrol and diesel engines. However, the BS-VI Figo is around US$ 467.70 (Rs. 35,000) more expensive in comparison to the BS-IV model. Moreover, the company introduced simultaneous updates for three models such as the Aspire compact sedan, the Freestyle cross-hatch, and the Figo hatchback. Ford used the opportunity to shuffle trim levels and the equipment list on the new Figo. The price of the hatchback ranged between US$ 7202.59 to US$ 10489.85.

Earlier, Ford had a Figo automatic equipped with a 1497 cc petrol engine that delivers 123 hp of power, and before that, there was a twin-clutch automatic variant equipped with a four-cylinder, 1,499 cc petrol unit that makes out 110 hp of power. The petrol automatic Figo is equipped with a 1.2-liter, 1,194 cc petrol engine that makes out 96 hp of power at 6,500 rpm. The petrol unit is paired with the same six-speed torque-convertor automatic transmission unit seen on the Ford EcoSport. The unit delivers a good amount of power, especially for a car of the Figo's size.

Moreover, by multiplying torque, the automatic transmission unit delivers good throttle response at low engine speeds. The Hatchback is also expected to be equipped with paddle shifters, which may help drivers to extract max power from the Figo. The expected price of the Figo automatic ranges between US$ 10690.30 (Rs 8 lakh) to US$ 11091.18 (Rs 8.3 lakh), ex-showroom, and is expected to hit showrooms by the end of August 2020. In March 2019, the company launched Figo facelift with a new chin, a redone grille, a new rear bumper, and C-shaped fog lamps. Now, Ford is all set to launch the Figo with an automatic transmission unit.
