Hitachi and Intel are working together to speed up AI use in important industries

Hitachi and Intel said they are working together to use AI, advanced computing, as well as new digital technology in important industries like manufacturing, energy, and transportation.

They will combine Hitachi’s IT and manufacturing knowledge with Intel’s computing technology to make new solutions that aid companies run operations better, save time, and improve efficiency.

The collaboration will focus on five main areas: foundry tools, quantum computing, energy optimization, custom chips, and edge-AI and factory automation.

  • In foundry tools, Hitachi will utilize data from its machines to predict problems and improve semiconductor manufacturing.
  • In quantum computing, both companies will work together on research to develop new technologies.
  • In energy optimization, Hitachi’s energy system will be used in Intel’s factories, as well as Intel will provide advanced silicon chips to improve power systems.
  • They will also explore custom chips, edge-AI applications, and factory automation using their latest technologies.

This partnership aims to make industrial systems smarter, faster, and more reliable.
