Honda's North Carolina Manufacturing (NCM) plant has announced the start of production for its first battery-powered zero-turn radius (ZTR) mowers in Swepsonville, N.C.. These ProZision ZTR mowers will use both domestic and international parts and will be available for purchase at specialty equipment dealers starting in February 2026.
The ProZision ZTR series is Honda's first line of riding mowers for commercial landscaping. They are made in the same facility where Honda has been producing walk-behind lawnmowers for over 40 years.
Since starting production in 1984, Honda associates at the nearly 700,000-square-foot NCM facility have shown great adaptability. The plant has now produced over 50 million products, including snow blowers, string trimmers, mini-tillers, water pumps, generators, engines, and, in 2023, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs).
The new ZTR mowers come in 54-inch and 60-inch models, designed for commercial use with high durability, comfort, and excellent cutting performance. They are powered by five 48-volt brushless electric motors, built to handle the tough demands of professional landscapers.
Executive Statement
According to Lynne Hedrick, Site Lead at NCM, everyone at Honda North Carolina Manufacturing is excited about expanding their power equipment lineup with the introduction of the new Honda ProZision ZTR lawn mower. Their legacy of high quality and flexibility began more than 40 years ago with NCM associates building the best lawnmowers, power equipment and ATVs in the world and they are proud to continue that with this new generation Honda mower.
