Kangwon Land Casino has made history by introducing the world's first AI-based counter room automation robot system, transforming how cash is handled at the casino. The new system, which is an integration of cutting-edge AI along with robotic technology, is designed to efficiently count as well as process cash collected from slot machines and gaming tables.
After a two-month stabilization period, Acting CEO Choi Cheol-kyu announced that the Casino Counter Room Automation Robot System is now fully operational at Kangwon Land Casino.
Previously, human staff were responsible for the entire cash handling process, from collection to packaging. With the new robot system in place, the entire procedure has become significantly faster and more efficient, allowing for a smoother and quicker operation. This marks a major step forward in automating casino operations using advanced technology.
This innovative system, which has been working since September, was officially announced earlier this month. By automating the cash counting process, Kangwon Land Casino is not only improving operational efficiency but also, at the same time, creating a high standard for installing artificial intelligence in the casino industry across the globe.
This breakthrough in automation could pave the way for similar innovations across the global casino and hospitality industry, ultimately improving both customer experience and operational efficiency.
