UK plant-based nutrition brand Bol has extended its Power Shake range, a series of nutritionally complete, high-protein meal shakes, with a new blueberry flavour. Although blueberry is a well-established flavour in the yogurt market, Bol says it is the UK's first brand to launch it into the protein drink and nutritionally complete meal market.
The new blueberry shake completes Bol's existing range of chocolate, salted caramel, and vanilla Power Shakes. It contains genuine blueberry juice, blended with oats and vanilla to provide a rich, blueberry muffin-like flavor.
Similar to the other shakes in the range, it contains 25g of protein, 5g of fibre, is naturally low in sugars, and contains 26 vitamins and minerals in each bottle. The shake has been formulated to provide the full nutritional profile required from a meal, capitalizing on the on-the-go breakfast trend as time-starved consumers look for convenient products.
The shake boasts a Nutri-score of A and highlights a recipe based on whole foods, with natural plant-based ingredients such as almonds and dates. The shake contains no gums, emulsifiers, or sweeteners, reflecting changing consumer attitudes for identifiable ingredients as concern around ultra-processed foods continues to build.
As per coherent market insights, the meal replacement industry is expected to grow at a 5.8% CAGR from 2025 to 2032. Market size is USD 14.82 Bn in 2025 and is likely to increase by approximately USD 22.01 Bn in 2032. Market size is supported by growing health awareness among consumers and a busy lifestyle.
