PawCo Foods, a U.S.-based plant-based dog food company led by former Impossible Foods scientist Dr. Mahsa Vazin, has released the first-ever salad for dogs called SuperSalad.
SuperSalad consists of whole food ingredients such as spinach, quinoa, lentils, butternut squash, etc., to improve dogs’ nutrition as well as support their gut health. It's free of artificial or powdered ingredients and contains fiber and postbiotics to help with digestion as well as overall wellness. The salad also has a high water content, which helps keep dogs hydrated, especially those on dry food diets.
The product is easy to serve, mess-free, and works with any type of diet. SuperSalad is now available in a six-pack on PawCo’s website.
PawCo's mission is to change the dog food experience with innovative products like fresh food subscriptions, protein bars, the Magic Cookie, etc. Last year, the company raised USD 2 million in seed funding and claims to be the first plant-based pet food brand using AI technology to improve nutrition as well as taste. In August 2024, PawCo reported USD 1,000,000 in annual revenue, showing a 1000% year-over-year growth, driven by increasing demand for sustainable pet nutrition.
Executive Statement
According to Dr. Mahsa Vazin, founder and CEO of PawCo Foods, SuperSalad fills a real gap in the market. It’s not a gimmick. It’s made with high-quality ingredients and visible nutrients, and formulated with expertise from board-certified animal nutritionists. It’s overdue that ‘wellness’ became a trend for dogs — SuperSalad is a massive step in that direction.
