
Just in time for summer, General Mills' Progresso brand has unveiled a new range of BBQ-inspired soups designed to bring classic cookout flavors indoors as convenient, ready-to-eat meals.
The Progresso Pitmaster line consists of five varieties, each with 14g or more of protein per can, appealing to consumers who want filling and flavorful solutions without the hassle of outdoor cooking.
These new products are formulated to attract an expanding category of consumers who want the big flavors of backyard barbecues but the ease of a quick meal solution.
Each soup unites high-quality meats and roasted vegetables, providing an enjoyable taste experience in only five minutes. The introduction is part of a wider trend within the food and beverage market, where convenience and taste are more and more important.
María Carolina Comings, business unit director at General Mills, highlighted the company's commitment to diversifying its product line-up. "We’ve been focused for some time now on shaking up the soup aisle to deliver new and different choices to appeal to more people," she said.
