Ram has announced that the TRX is back, and it's now the fastest and most powerful gas-powered pickup truck in the world. The 2027 Ram 1500 SRT TRX has major updates and sets a new record for the half-ton truck category. It first made a splash in 2021, and now, after a short break, it's back on top.
The truck features the powerful 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI® V-8 engine, giving it 777 horsepower and 680 lb.-ft. of torque. This makes it more powerful than its closest competitor by 57 horsepower and 40 lb.-ft. of torque. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 118 mph.
The TRX comes with a high-performance 8-speed automatic transmission and full-time four-wheel drive, making it perfect for off-roading. It also has Launch Control for faster acceleration.
There will be a special "Bloodshot Night Edition" version of the TRX, which features a two-tone paint job, bold red details, and unique graphics. Inside, it has premium features like massaging front seats, reclining rear seats, a 14.5-inch touchscreen, and a 19-speaker audio system.
For the first time, the TRX comes with Hands-Free Active Drive Assist, allowing for hands-free driving. This makes it both a thrilling performance truck and a relaxing ride.
The 2027 TRX will be available in the second half of 2026, with a starting price of USD 99,995, not including a USD 2,595 destination fee. It offers the most horsepower for your money compared to other premium off-road vehicles.
