Smirnoff Launches New Miami Peach Flavor to Target Flavored Vodka Consumers

Diageo is releasing its new product, Smirnoff Miami Peach, onto UK shelves on March 1, 2025. The new spirit drink is designed to capitalize on the fast-growing flavored vodka sector, which has experienced high growth over the past few years, especially in the off-trade channel.

Smirnoff Miami Peach Spirit Drink blends the brand's award-winning vodka with the sweet and juicy taste of peach, evoking the lively spirit of Miami Beach.

The launch is timed as consumers increasingly turn to flavored spirits, with the category delivering £7.6 million of growth in the off-trade alone last year.

Smirnoff has pushed the development of spirit flavors across the off-trade with past strong launches," replied Jessica Lace, Smirnoff GB leader, citing favorites such as Cherry Drop and Raspberry Crush. The latter has emerged as the most significant flavored spirit launch for the last three years, illustrating high consumer demand for varied taste profiles.

The Miami Peach product will come in two guises: a 70cl bottle at 35% ABV and a ready-to-drink 250ml can, pre-mixed with lemonade at 5% ABV, available on March 7 2025.

This twin-track strategy will appeal to both heritage spirit drinkers and ready-to-drink consumers, echoing wider trends in convenience and on-the-move consumption.

According to Coherent Market Insights, the vodka industry will see growth at a significant CAGR during the forecast period of 2025-2032 due to increasing interest in cocktail culture among millennials. Also, the industry is anticipated to grow at a significant rate during the forecast period.

The vodka industry is anticipated to see great growth, due to the growing number of Vodka varieties on offer for consumers. Consumers now prefer low-calorie offerings and better ingredients because of growing health awareness, particularly among the youth says senior research consultant Yash Doshi.

The vodka industry is undergoing change with increasing demand for flavored products, presenting brands with the opportunity to innovate. Smirnoff's Miami Peach launch capitalizes on the growing flavored vodka industry, appealing to younger consumers looking for distinctive, refreshing flavors. The action reflects the flavor diversity trend, as brands respond to the consumer desire for variety and new experiences, supporting brand differentiation and market growth in a competitive market.
