
TARAtps, one of South Korea's prominent printing firms, has completely taken over Chicago Offset, a commercial printing company based in Illinois. Chicago Offset will now operate as a subsidiary of TARAtps. Along with this acquisition, TARAtps is also launching TARA USA, its first office outside South Korea, to better serve the North American market.
Chicago Offset, known for its printing presses as well as commercial printing services, will keep its brand identity but will integrate into TARAtps' global network. This move will help TARAtps better serve customers in the U.S. and other parts of North and Central America.
New Dual-Production System for Faster Service
TARA USA will act as TARAtps’ main hub in the U.S., handling customer relations, project coordination, and production management for the region. By combining TARAtps' large-scale production in South Korea with Chicago Offset’s local presence, the company can offer quicker service, reduce costs, and improve supply chain flexibility for publishers and corporate clients. This new system will aid TARAtps cater to a varied range of printing requirements across the board, from big national projects to fast regional orders it will cover most of the regions.
Executive Statement
According to Wonjae Jang, Director of the International Business Division at TARAtps, this acquisition provides a critical foothold for TARAtps in North America. By combining the mass-production capacity of their Paju headquarters with the agility of US-based manufacturing, they are building a dual-production system that dramatically shortens lead times and strengthens their ability to respond to both large-volume and short-run orders.
