STRATIO, a tech company with operations in Silicon Valley and Seoul, has officially released its LS SWIR SDK. This new tool features the world’s first Germanium (Ge)-based short-wave infrared (SWIR) sensor.
This launch is a key step in STRATIO’s goal to "Advance Vision with Infrared-AI™," a technology that lets us see beyond the limits of human vision and traditional sensors. Unlike regular sensors that only identify visible light, STRATIO’s technology captures spectral information that is invisible to the human eye.
This breakthrough creates a new type of AI—Infrared-AI™—that uses signals unique to STRATIO’s sensors. STRATIO operates in both Silicon Valley and Pangyo Techno Valley, connecting cutting-edge research and development with advanced manufacturing to escalate its Infrared-AI™ technology worldwide.
The company is expanding its reach into industries such as consumer electronics, agriculture, public safety, etc., showcasing how its unique spectral data and AI can make everyday life smarter, safer, as well as more sustainable. In 2026, STRATIO plans to release its SWIR HD image sensor, designed to bring Infrared-AI™ to the automotive and mobile industries. This will allow vehicles, smartphones, and robots to "see the unseen."
STRATIO aims to surprise the world by showing how invisible data can drive a new era of intelligent vision.
Executive Statement
According to JaeHyung James Lee, CEO of STRATIO, infrared-AI™ is not just another algorithm — it’s AI built on data that only they can create, and we believe it is a paradigm shift to Infrared-AI era. By combining our Ge SWIR technology with AI, they make the invisible visible — enabling smarter, more sustainable decisions across industries.
