Trader Joe’s released a seasonal pumpkin sugar cookie dough that mimics pillsbury’s shape cookies, and fans are liking it better than the latter. For a very specific time limit, Trader Joe’s is offering a copycat version of the famous Pillsbury ready-to-bake Shape Cookies. The new Pumpkins Sugar Cookie Dough is a baking mix, cut to size to make 12 cookies, as well as decorated with an orange pumpkin in the middle.
The process to bake them is simple, breaking off the desired number of cookies from the package and bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for approximately 12 minutes, and once they’re cooled off, they’re ready to enjoy alongside a cup of warm apple cider or your favorite fall beverage.
The product looks similar to Pillsbury's, there are slight differences between the two variations, including the pumpkins depicted on the cookies. Pillsbury’s features a jack-o'-lantern with eyes and a mouth, while Trader Joe’s is a simple orange pumpkin. Not to mention, Pillsbury offers 20 cookies that are famously safe to eat raw, while TJ's product contains 12 that needs to be baked before consuming.
From cookies with adorable ghosts printed on them to cookies featuring none other than the Grinch for Christmas, consumers can always count on the brand to roll out fun as well as festive seasonal treats. However, due to their popularity, it can sometimes be challenging to secure a package as they tend to sell out quickly.
