Amaze and LA Times Studios are starting Food Channel LA, a new shopping platform led by creators.
This platform combines live shopping, creator shows, and direct product sales in one place. Amaze provides the technology, logistics, and tools for creators to make money. LA Times Studios brings its brand, audience, and facilities. Contend helps run the creator programs.
Food Channel LA will include:
- Creator-led cooking shows
- Live shopping events and product launches
- Brand promotions tied to commerce
- Special on-site events and ticketed experiences
The content will be shared on Food Channel LA, LA Times websites and social media, and creator channels. Creators and partners can sell products directly, manage inventory, and earn money in real time.
The platform is designed to grow shopping through media and help generate more revenue from transactions.
As per Coherent Market Insights, the E-commerce Analytics Market will grow at a 17.7% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from 2025 to 2032, from USD 25.72 Bn in 2025 to around USD 80.48 Bn by 2032. The global e-commerce analytics market is witnessing significant growth. Factors, such as the rising penetration of internet and smartphone across the world, increasing online transactions, growing preference for online shopping among consumers due to offer of discounts, cashbacks, and doorstep delivery, are propelling the market growth.
“Media has experimented with commerce for years,” said Aaron Day, CEO of Amaze. “This is different. With LA Times Studios and Contend as our first operating studio partner, we’re launching a true creator-commerce platform where live programming, product drops, and cultural storytelling translate directly into transactions. LA Times Studios is truly the first major publisher to launch a full-scale social commerce initiative.”
Anna Magzanyan, President of LA Times Studios, added, “This is our step into fully integrated social commerce. We’re combining our trusted brand and production capabilities with Amaze’s commerce engine and a creator-led operating model built for today’s market.”
While launching in Los Angeles, the Food Channel LA framework is built for national scale and designed to expand into additional markets and syndication partnerships.
Food Channel LA is expected to begin onboarding creators and brand partners immediately, with initial live activations and programming rolling out by May 2026.
