ArcelorMittal has announced a partnership with AWS. They will work together to improve factory automation and make construction more eco-friendly by reducing carbon emissions around the world

ArcelorMittal has announced a partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS). They will work together to fasten automation in factories using cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and edge technology.

AWS technology will be used in ArcelorMittal’s manufacturing process. This will aid improve safety, machine reliability, as well as energy efficiency. The company will integrate some of its industrial systems as well as IT systems on AWS cloud infrastructure, which is secure and can manage large scale operations. They will use real-time data, sensors, along with machine learning to advance production. This includes predicting machine failures, checking product quality using cameras, improving processes, as well as making digital copies of factories to test and improve operations.

AWS will also offer training programs to aid ArcelorMittal employees learn as well as use these new digital tools.

In addition, Amazon and ArcelorMittal have a long-term agreement to supply steel in Europe and the UK. ArcelorMittal will provide low-carbon steel for Amazon buildings and AWS data centres. This supports Amazon’s goal of reaching net-zero carbon emissions by 2040. The partnership aims to reduce carbon emissions in construction.

Currently, the market is at USD 261.23 Bn in 2026 and is expected to be around USD 455.26 Bn by 2033.
