
BASF Aroma Ingredients has released a new range called Micadelva in Ludwigshafen, Germany. It is a new citrus fragrance ingredient made as a safer option to orange-based materials that can bring allergies.
Instead of simply replacing old orange ingredients, Micadelva gives perfume makers a new way to make orange-like scents. It aid them make fresh, modern citrus fragrances that last longer than usual.
BASF also introduced a new idea for making fragrance ingredients called Safe-by-Design. This means they make ingredients to be safe from the beginning. It follows European safety as well as sustainability rules and helps create future-ready fragrance materials.
Micadelva™ is also made with sustainability in mind. It is mostly made from renewable sources, can break down easily in nature, and is expected to have a low carbon impact.
