Echodyne, a radar company, is expanding its production with a new 86,350-square-foot facility. This new space will allow the company to make and ship over 30,000 radars each year. The flexible manufacturing system means they can adjust production to cater to the evolving demand as well as add new products.
This expansion shows Echodyne’s commitment to advancing security along with safety, especially as drones (UxS) become more common in both military as well as civilian use. The company is also focused on meeting the growing demand for radar systems in the U.S. and its Allied countries while strengthening America’s defense industry.
The demand for high-resolution radar surveillance is escalating due to applications like drone defense (C-UAS), border security, and force protection. Echodyne's MESA® technology provides highly accurate data, stable tracking, and the ability to easily integrate with other systems. Their radars are compact, solid-state, and ready for commercial export.
Echodyne combines advanced radar technology with software and machine learning to offer quick, precise, and detailed information on air and surface activities.
Executive Statement
According to Eben Frankenberg, the CEO of Echodyne, they are proud to be opening this new facility in Washington State, the location of our headquarters and a long-time global hub for tech innovation and advanced manufacturing. The extraordinary performance of MESA radar stands in marked contrast to the purposeful simplicity of its design, making high-fidelity radar broadly accessible for defense and civilian safety and security applications. This new investment in manufacturing capacity will allow them to supercharge production to meet the rapidly growing global demand for their products.
