
Equifax® earned 27 patents in the second half of 2025, bringing its sum total to 62 patents for the year. Twenty of these patents aims on the artificial intelligence (AI) efforts of the company, supporting its EFX.AI™ plan. These patents help speed up the development of AI-powered, cloud-based solutions that create new financial opportunities for consumers. By November 2025, Equifax had nearly 700 patents, either approved or pending, in 15 countries. These patents hold unique AI technologies, such as machine learning for data analysis as well as risk modeling. Over 320 of these patents target on ensuring AI is used responsibly, with many of them applied in customer-facing products.

- Consolidation of Data Sources for Faster Risk Assessment (U.S.): This patent fuels the process of validating data from users as well as financial institutions by consolidating it into one system, helping make faster decisions.
- Updating Attribute Data to Show Trends (European Patent Office): A patent that improves automated prediction models by using historical data to identify trends and patterns, enhancing risk and credit assessments.
