Grinn, a technology company specializing in advanced IoT and embedded systems, has launched a compact yet powerful single-board computer (SBC). This new product will help embedded device manufacturers meet the growing demand to quickly bring sophisticated, AI-ready products to market.
The new Grinn GenioBoard is a fully equipped single-board computer (SBC) in a compact 87mm x 56mm form factor. It provides all the necessary communications, graphics, and power interfaces to connect with the Grinn GenioSOM-700 or Grinn GenioSOM-510 systems-on-modules (SOMs). These SOMs are the smallest in the industry based on the MediaTek Genio family of processors, featuring multiple Arm Cortex-A cores, a graphics processing unit, and a neural processing unit for AI applications.
The launch of the Grinn GenioBoard addresses the growing demand from embedded device OEMs for more application-ready hardware. With new shifts in the competitive landscape, OEMs are under increasing pressure to quickly experiment with AI and machine learning technologies. At the same time, many manufacturers are seeing development cycles, which once took two to three years, now shrinking to less than 12 months.
