Henkel has introduced a new polyurethane coating to help improve the reliability of industrial and power electronics. Henkel, a leader in electronics materials, has responded by launching Loctite STYCAST US 8000 A/B, a new two-part polyurethane potting compound. It provides strong electrical insulation, mechanical durability, and long-term reliability in harsh environments. This product expands Henkel’s range of protective materials for industrial and power electronics.
Loctite STYCAST US 8000 A/B is designed for excellent performance. It has a very low ionic content, which reduces corrosion and prevents silver migration in humid environments—common causes of electrical issues like short circuits. It can withstand high temperatures (up to 140°C) and is flame-resistant. It also maintains strong insulation even under extreme conditions.
The compound has low viscosity, which makes it easy to apply and flow into narrow gaps and complex shapes. It cures at room temperature or with heat, making it flexible and energy-efficient. It is also strong and flexible, able to absorb vibration and temperature changes without cracking.
