
Hyundai Motor Group is showcasing its hydrogen innovations at the World Hydrogen Expo from December 4 to 7. This event showcases Hyundai’s leadership in hydrogen technology. The Expo, Korea's largest hydrogen industry event, brings together over 250 companies from more than 25 countries, with the theme ‘Hydrogen Pioneers: Innovate, Unite, Accelerate.’
The Expo is being held for the first time after merging the annual H2MEET exhibition with the conference. It is supported by four government ministries and takes place at KINTEX 2 in Goyang, Korea. The event is expected to draw 40,000 attendees, including industry leaders as well as the general public. It highlights Korea’s growing role as a global leader in hydrogen energy and Hyundai’s major role in supporting the inclination towards clean energy.
Hyundai Motor Group, through its affiliates like Hyundai Motor, Kia, Hyundai Steel, Hyundai Engineering, and others, is showcasing its latest hydrogen technologies under its HTWO brand and platform.
The Group is doing more than just showcasing products at the Expo. They are offering a variety of interactive activities to engage visitors and give them a hands-on experience, showing what a hydrogen-based society could look like in the future.

According to Jaehoon Chang, Vice Chair of Hyundai Motor Group, with the rapid increase in power demand driven by the spread of AI, expanding renewable energy is essential. Hydrogen brings the most powerful solution to store and utilize renewable energy, complementing its intermittency as well as enhancing overall efficiency. By converting surplus electricity into hydrogen, they can ease the burden on power grids and make energy systems more flexible. Hydrogen is the ultimate game changer for the future energy transition.
