Kia Corporation has renewed its 21-year partnership with Rafael Nadal, legendary tennis player, planning a collaboration that has advanced further than conventional sponsorship. The announcement is fueled by Nadal's visit to Korea, marking his first trip since 2013, where he is engaging with fans and aspiring sports players under the theme “The Road Ahead.”
The partnership began in 2004 when Kia Spain first sponsored the young athlete. Following his victory at the 2005 French Open, Nadal was honored as Kia’s global brand ambassador in 2006. Over the years, their relationship has been known by shared values of resilience and continuous improvement.
In order to celebrate this milestone, a signing ceremony was held at Kia Unplugged Ground in Seongsu, Seoul, attended by Kia President and CEO Ho Sung Song and Nadal. The event showcased a tennis clinic for Korea’s top 20 junior players, conducted by coaches from the Rafa Nadal Academy, and a pop-up exhibition showcasing Nadal’s career highlights and Kia’s latest models, including the EV9 GT Line and PV5 Passenger. The exhibition will be open to the public until November 9, 2025.
Both Kia along with Nadal showed their commitment to expand this partnership, focusing on inspiring future generations through shared values and a passion for excellence.
