
Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) announced on the 9th that it has signed an agreement with the Korea Association of Artificial Intelligence Industry to offer AI training for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in Korea.
The agreement, signed on the 6th, aims to create a practical AI talent development system that small and medium venture companies can immediately use in their work. The main goals are to:
- Jointly plan and run training programs to help businesses use AI better
- Develop specialized AI training content and share resources
- Improve the ability to apply AI technology in small businesses and increase regional industry competitiveness
The two organizations will now start offering regular AI training courses and cooperate on various projects, such as creating AI industry networks, and organizing seminars and forums.
KOSME’s Gangwon Training Center and Gangwon Regional Headquarters will provide the needed training infrastructure and support for linking policy programs. The Korea Association of Artificial Intelligence infrastructure will offer expert training content and AI instructors. This partnership combines KOSME's training programs with the industry expertise of the AI association.
This model is expected to expand and be applied to training courses across the entire country in the future.

According to Choi Eun-gyeong, head of KOSME's Gangwon Training Center, this agreement will serve as an opportunity to concretize a training model for nurturing AI talent for small and medium venture companies, going beyond simple educational cooperation. Small and medium venture companies will be able to secure the capability to use AI technology in the field even amid a changing digital environment.
