Specialities Inc., a US food producer and distributor of deli foods, has launched an artisan 5kg pumpkin spice-flavoured gouda cheese.
Made in the Netherlands by wholesale cheesemaker Van der Heiden Kaas, which specializes in traditional cheese-making methods, the seasonal cheese contains a special mixture of liquorice, ginger, and cinnamon to produce a 'rich, creamy gouda intended to transport consumers to the thought of snug autumn days and winter tastes.'
The cheese was developed as a joint venture between Van der Heiden Kaas and Specialities Inc, with the firms looking for the 'perfect flavor combination that would appeal to the American taste buds'.
According to coherent market insights, the pumpkin spice industry will grow at a 10.4% CAGR between 2025-2032. The market size is USD 1.1 Bn in 2025 and is anticipated to grow around USD 2.2 Bn by 2032. Market size is driven by shifting consumer tastes towards limited-time flavors and indulgent comfort foods.
