Quantinuum, a well-known leader in quantum computing, has launched Helios, the most accurate commercial quantum computer. Helios is designed in such a way that it helps businesses adopt quantum computing more easily.
The computer offers the highest accuracy of any commercial system and features a unique real-time control engine. This makes it easier for developers to program the quantum computer just like they would a traditional computer.
A new programming language called Guppy lets developers use both quantum and classical computing together in one program. Helios is now available to customers via Quantinuum’s cloud service or on-premise.
Helios allows GenAI models to be improved with quantum-generated data, unlocking AI's full potential in fields like data analysis, material design, and quantum chemistry. To speed up GenQAI, Quantinuum is expanding its partnership with NVIDIA, linking NVIDIA GB200 with Helios through NVQLink to create applications for specific markets.
Quantinuum will use NVIDIA's accelerated computing for Helios and future systems, combining Guppy with NVIDIA's CUDA-Q platform for real-time error correction, which is key to its development plans.
As part of its plan to grow the commercial use of quantum computing, Quantinuum is launching two new programs. Q-Net, a user group, will provide a platform for customer feedback and collaboration. Additionally, a new startup partner program will encourage developers to create and scale third-party applications on Helios.
Executive Statement
According to Dr. Rajeeb Hazra, President & CEO of Quantinuum, the High-Performance Computing (HPC) inflection point starts today. For the first time enterprises can access a highly accurate general purpose quantum computer to drive real world impact, transforming how industries innovate, from drug discovery to finance to advanced materials.
