SamSan SLC, a manufacturer of solid lubricant coatings in Korea with a strong history in eco-friendly materials, has officially launched its new OXCUS Series, a PFAS-free dry film lubricant coating.
The OXCUS Series was developed to meet stricter global environmental regulations. This coating technology is planned to perform well under extreme temperatures and heavy loads. It is quickly gaining attention as a sustainable, high-performance alternative to conventional WS₂ and MoS₂ coatings, especially in industries like aerospace, defense, automotive, industrial machinery, etc.
About OXCUS PFAS-Free Coating
The OXCUS Series includes three product lines, each planned for specific needs and performance requirements:
- OXCUS 100 Series – Hybrid Type: Designed for automotive, defense, and aerospace applications. It provides exceptional reliability in high-load, high-temperature, and low-temperature conditions, offering better thermal resistance as well as wear durability.
- OXCUS 200 Series – Epoxy Type: A versatile coating suitable for automotive brackets, industrial machinery, as well as general-purpose applications. It offers a good balance of cost-efficiency, corrosion resistance, and environmental compliance, making it adaptable for many industries.
- OXCUS 300 Series – PAI Type: A high-performance coating for bearings, electric motor shafts, and other parts that undergo heavy friction. It is a durable option to conventional coatings, offering long-lasting performance.
Key Features of OXCUS Technology
The OXCUS coatings are fully PFAS-free, allowing manufacturers to comply with growing fluorine-free regulations in Europe and North America. The coatings have a 40% reduction in friction and twice the wear life durability compared to traditional options. SamSan SLC also optimized the coating process to work with different materials, including metals, polymers, as well as composites. This makes it a better services for a broad range of industries.
