Samsung Launches AI-Powered Security Robot Vacuum for the Chinese Market

Samsung has introduced a new robot vacuum with AI technology focused on security and cleaning. This new vacuum aims to compete with popular Chinese brands like Roborock in the market.

On February 11, Samsung held a media event in Seoul, South Korea, where they unveiled the 2026 Bespoke AI Steam robot vacuum. The vacuum comes in three versions, Ultra, Plus, and Standard, and will officially launch on March 3. Pre-orders are available from today until March 2 on Samsung’s website and other online stores.

The new vacuum has stronger suction power, 10 watts, which is twice as powerful as previous models. This helps it clean fine dust and hair, even in corners. It also features a "pop-out mop" and a "pop-outside brush" for thorough cleaning along walls and edges. The "Easy Pass Wheel" lets it go over thresholds up to 45 mm, making it easier to use in homes with steps, like older apartments.

The vacuum’s AI can recognize liquids on the floor, such as water, and avoid them during suction. It will clean those areas properly when mopping. The robot also uses steam to sterilize 99.99% of bacteria on the mop.

Samsung has added extra security features to protect home data. The vacuum uses “Knox Matrix” and “Knox Vault” security solutions to encrypt the images and videos it collects, preventing data leaks even if the server is attacked.

Currently, Samsung's market share for robot vacuums is less than 30%. With the 2026 Bespoke AI Steam, Samsung plans to increase its presence in the market. The company will also offer a one-stop service for purchasing, installation, and after-sales support. They have expanded their team for robot vacuum services to 117 locations across the country.

According to coherent market insights, the Residential Robotic Vacuum Cleaner Market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 14.6% during 2025 to 2032. Currently, the market is at USD 4.32 Bn in 2025 and is expected to be around USD 11.21 Bn by 2032. The world is undergoing a major technological shift as smart devices and systems are being implemented in several verticals across commercial as well as household applications. New and advanced innovations are paving its way into most of the applications across the daily activities of individuals as well as businesses.

Lim Seong Taek, Vice President of Samsung Electronics Korea Headquarters, who explained the product, said, “It is true that competition with Chinese manufacturers in the robot vacuum sector is fierce,” adding, “Rather than the evolution of hardware itself, providing an overall ecosystem from installation to after-sales service (AS) seems to be more important now.”
