Shepherd Boy Farms plans to build a 100,000-square-foot facility in Greensburg, Indiana, to make freeze-dried pet food. The USD 50 million investment will increase the company’s production capacity three times and create 50 new jobs.
The new facility will have equipment for cutting and freeze-drying, as well as quick freezing. Shepherd Boy Farms also offers co-manufacturing and private label services, helping with everything from product creation to packaging.
The company’s product range includes freeze-dried raw goat's milk from pasture-fed goats in the U.S. Their freeze-drying process keeps up to 97% of the nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and probiotics. They offer products like beef, bison, chicken, cod, pork, turkey, kangaroo, salmon, whitefish, tuna, alligator, minnows, duck, goat milk, fruits, vegetables, and products for cats.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Shepherd Boy Farms sells its products through Chewy, Amazon, and its own website.
