Unifi, the company behind REPREVE®, has released its FY2025 Sustainability Snapshot, which shows how they’re growing their REPREVE platform as well as working towards more sustainable materials.
One of the major achievements highlighted in the report is that Unifi has now recycled textile and yarn waste to make the equivalent of 1 billion T-shirts. This consists products like REPREVE Takeback™, ThermaLoop™ Insulation, REPREVE ReCirculate™, and REPREVE Nylon. They’ve also launched new circular polyester products made from textile waste, available worldwide.
In the Snapshot, Unifi announced a new goal: to recycle 65 billion plastic bottles by 2030. This is part of their larger 2030 plan, which includes transforming the equivalent of 1.5 billion T-shirts’ worth of textile and yarn waste.
The report also shows that Unifi is continuing to lower its environmental impact by cutting down on greenhouse gas emissions, energy, water, and raw materials through the growth of the REPREVE platform and responsible manufacturing.
Unifi’s Snapshot reaffirms its commitment to environmental progress and helping global brands reach their sustainability goals.
