
Vestas has received a 390 MW order for the Shinan-Ui offshore wind project in Jeollanam Province, South Korea. The project is being developed by a group of companies: Hanwha Ocean, SK Eternix, KOMIPO (Korea Midland Power Co., Ltd.), Future Energy Fund, and Hyundai Engineering & Construction. This holds Vestas' first offshore wind order in South Korea, reflecting its commitment to renewable energy as well as supporting the country’s clean energy goals.
The order includes 26 V236-15.0 MW offshore wind turbines along with a 20-year service agreement to make sure the turbines perform reliably over time.
The turbines are expected to be delivered starting in 2027, and the wind farm is set to start operating in 2028.
