Air Liquide Invests More Than $150 Million In The U.S. To Support The Growth Of A Major Memory Chip Manufacturer

Air Liquide will invest more than $150 million in the U.S. to build a new factory in Idaho that will produce industrial gases. The factory will support the expansion of a major global memory chip manufacturer. This investment will aid the company increase chip production and strengthen Air Liquide’s long-term support for the semiconductor industry.

The new facility is expected to start operations in 2028. It will produce large amounts of very pure gases, including nitrogen, oxygen, argon, etc., which are needed to make advanced memory chips. The project will help meet the escalating demand for chips used in AI and other technologies.

Air Liquide is helping expand semiconductor manufacturing in the U.S. by providing important gases and materials needed for chip production. This Idaho project is part of Air Liquide’s wider expansion in major U.S. semiconductor regions.

As per Coherent Market Insights, the Semiconductor Memory Market will grow at a 5.7% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from 2026 to 2033, from USD 35.05 Bn in 2026 to around USD 51.67 Bn by 2033.
