Emuge-Franken USA announced a machining technology event in collaboration with Okuma America Corporation, showcasing industry partners including SMW Autoblok, CNC Engineering, All World Machinery Supply, QualiChem Inc., T J Davies, ZEISS, Mikron, Heidenhain, etc., in order to demonstrate the Evogrip Modular Workholding System.
The event is scheduled for September 11, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Okuma North America, located at 11900 Westhall Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina. Manufacturers from industries such as aerospace, medical and mold/die are encouraged to attend.
During the event, a 4140-steel structural housing hinge with a 5" overhang as well as a large 3/4" hole will be machined under conditions designed to test stress under full forces.
The setup will showcase the new Emuge-Franken Evogrip modular workholding system, which includes a standard centering vise engineered for precise centric clamping with a holding force of up to 75 kN. The system is designed to provide significant overhang stability.
Live machining will be showcased on the five-axis Okuma MU8000V VMC, which supports high-efficiency machining and high-feed roughing as well as finishing with Emuge Circle Segment end mills.
In line with this, advanced Open Mind HyperMill CAM toolpaths will be demonstrated, which are designed to increase speed, control, and provide smooth finishes.
As the Machining Technology Event scheduled for September 11, 2025, draws near, EMUGE‑FRANKEN USA invites manufacturers, especially those in the aerospace, medical, and mold & die industries, to witness a live demonstration pushing machine precision to its limits. See the EvoGrip System exert its exceptional 75 kN clamping force on a challenging structural housing hinge as Okuma’s MU8000V machine and hyperMILL CAM toolpaths showcase their full capabilities.
