Intellian Technologies Inc., a global leader in satellite communication antennas and ground solutions, announced that its v100NX and v240MT2 antennas have successfully received Type Approval for operation on Eutelsat's high-performance KONNECT VHTS service.
KONNECT VHTS (Very High Throughput Satellite) offers Geostationary (GEO) connectivity to Eutelsat customers across Europe. With a Ka-band capacity of 500 Gbps, it features the most powerful onboard digital processor ever launched into orbit, providing flexible capacity allocation, optimal spectrum usage, and advanced ground network deployment.
The Type Approval of Intellian’s v100NX and v240MT2 extends KONNECT VHTS services into maritime markets, including merchant shipping, oil and gas, cruise, ferry, and yachting. The approval of the v240MT2 is a historic milestone, making it the first 2.4m Tri-Band maritime terminal to be approved for KONNECT VHTS.
Powered by Intellian’s Intelligent Mediator 8 (IM8), the v240MT2 offers fully automated switching between Ka- and Ku-band frequencies, allowing seamless roaming between KONNECT VHTS and other Eutelsat satellite services. This provides ship operators with true multi-band, multi-orbit hybrid connectivity.
