Lululemon, in collaboration with the University of Minnesota, announced to host an event for the launch of its co-branded apparel line. The event is not just specific to a product drop, but it’s a full‑on celebration featuring giveaways and refreshments, along with social experiences to build excitement around the new collection.
This collaboration will push the strategy of the company of leveraging university partnerships to create exclusive product drops that boost both brand appeal and campus pride. It will also be showcased and highlighted across many universities; these events merge fashion, branding, campus culture, and retail experiences, often bringing students together in festive, early‑morning lineups.
The event will take place at the University Bookstore at 115 Kent St. in Blacksburg. The Lululemon Showcase invites the Hokie community to shop limited-quantity styles as well as enjoy interactive photo opportunities throughout the event.
The exclusive one-day event is allowed for all the students, faculty, and staff, as well as the curious visitors. Items will be available while supplies last, so early attendance is encouraged.
The event continues Lululemon’s expanding footprint in university co-brand collaborations. Institutions such as the University of Arizona, Auburn University, the University of Toronto, UNC–Chapel Hill, and Cambridge University have all hosted similar product launches, meeting with overwhelming student turnout—some even rivaling crowd levels of home football games or causing midnight-long queues.
