Renault Korea Motors, a subsidiary of Renault S.A., unveiled its latest model, the Filante crossover SUV, at a world premiere event in Seoul. The Filante is set to launch in March and is designed and developed in Korea through a collaboration between Renault’s design teams in both Korea and France.
The SUV boasts a bold crossover design, combining the best features of sedans as well as SUVs. Measuring 4,915 millimeters (193 inches) in length, the Filante has a wide, low body with a sleek, coupe-inspired rear design. The front features distinctive grille lights and full LED headlamps, giving the electric vehicle a premium look.
The Filante will be available in four trims and comes equipped with an upgraded version of Renault Korea’s dual-motor hybrid system, which was previously used in the Grand Koleos SUV. This hybrid system provides improved fuel efficiency and performance. The SUV will be produced at Renault's Busan plant in South Korea, with deliveries set to begin in March.
Besides launching in Korea, Renault plans to introduce the Filante in international markets, including South America as well as the Middle East. This new model shows Renault’s goal to grow its presence in the global SUV market, bringing advanced technology as well as a stylish design. The Filante is expected to attract many customers looking for a versatile, alternative fuel vehicle, and it represents the future of Renault’s SUV lineup.
