Siemens and NVIDIA have announced an expansion of their partnership to bring artificial intelligence (AI) to real-world industrial applications. Together, they plan to make AI-driven solutions for industries and manufacturing processes, helping to improve operations and speed up innovation.
NVIDIA will provide the AI infrastructure, including simulation tools, models, and frameworks, while Siemens will contribute its industrial expertise and leading hardware and software development.
Their goal is to create smarter factories that use AI at every stage of product creation and production. This will help make manufacturing more efficient, sustainable, and flexible. The first step will be to make the world’s first fully AI-driven manufacturing site starting in 2026 at Siemens' Electronics Factory in Erlangen, Germany.
The factories will leverage an "AI Brain" powered by NVIDIA's Omniverse along with AI tools. This will allow factories to constantly monitor and improve their operations by analyzing digital twins (virtual versions of physical factories), testing changes, and then making real improvements.
This approach will aid companies in making faster, precise decisions, improving productivity as well as cutting down on risks. Siemens and NVIDIA are also working with several companies, including Foxconn, HD Hyundai, KION Group, and PepsiCo, who are already testing these new AI solutions.
With this partnership, Siemens will also fasten its simulations leveraging NVIDIA's technology, making them more powerful as well as accurate. The ultimate goal is to develop autonomous digital twins that can automatically optimize designs and processes in real-time.
Executive Statement
According to Roland Busch, President and CEO of Siemens AG, together, they are building the Industrial AI operating system — redefining how the physical world is designed, built and run — to scale AI and create real-world impact. By combining NVIDIA’s leadership in accelerated computing and AI platforms with Siemens’ leading hardware, software, industrial AI and data, they are empowering customers to develop products faster with the most comprehensive digital twins, adapt production in real time and accelerate technologies from chips to AI factories.
