Silicon Sensing Systems Ltd has announced that it has chosen Bizmile Co. Ltd as its exclusive distributor in South Korea. This is the company's first step into the Asia-Pacific market.
With this new agreement, Silicon Sensing now has distribution in 15 countries and 21 total partners.
Based in Plymouth, UK, Silicon Sensing is a joint venture between Collins Aerospace as well as Sumitomo Precision Products. The partnership with Bizmile focuses on tapping into an escalating demand for high-precision technology in South Korea's aerospace and defense sectors.
Bizmile already has a strong presence in South Korea’s defense market and will aid with local manufacturing, marketing, as well as the integration of Silicon Sensing’s products.
Silicon Sensing specializes in MEMS (Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems) technology for navigation and stabilization. They make gyroscopes and accelerometers used in aerospace applications, which are compact, durable, and suitable for tough environments.
This move comes as South Korea invests more in aerospace and defense, and Silicon Sensing aims to make it easier for local businesses and government to access high-quality, reliable components without ITAR restrictions.
