Mars, the company behind brands such as M&M's, Skittles, and PEDIGREE, has launched its first U.S. corporate advertising initiative known by the motto “Mars Is Closer Than You Think.” The campaign focuses on highlighting Mars' longstanding manufacturing existence in the United States, celebrating its over 100-year history of producing more than 40 brands locally. With over 70,000 associates, Mars operates 38 factories, veterinary clinics, labs, and 16 regional offices across the country.
The campaign will initially focus on five U.S. markets: Topeka, Kansas; Salt Lake City, Utah; Dayton, Ohio; greater Nashville, Tennessee; and greater Washington, D.C. These regions were selected to showcase specific regional operations, such as the company's largest global Royal Canin dry pet food facility in Lewisburg, Ohio, and the Nashville-area headquarters of the Mars North American Pet Nutrition division.
Mars has also committed to investing USD 2 billion in U.S. manufacturing through 2026, building upon the USD 6 billion invested over the past five years. This investment will support expansion across Mars' snacking, food, and pet-care sectors, including new facilities like Nature's Bakery in Utah and upgrades to existing sites with improved automation.
