Unilever and Google Cloud are working together to create new technologies for the future of consumer products

Unilever and Google Cloud have teamed up for a five-year partnership to help Unilever improve its business using Google Cloud’s advanced technology, like AI and data tools.

The partnership will aid grow Unilever’s global brands, like Dove, Vaseline, and Hellmann’s, by using Google Cloud’s tools, such as AI, to improve brand discovery, marketing, and measurement. This will change how people find and buy products, as shopping becomes more interactive and conversational.

Unilever will move its data and systems to Google Cloud, building a new digital platform to work faster, get insights from data, as well as adjust to changes in the market. This will also help create smart systems that can manage tasks across Unilever’s operations.

The focus of this partnership will be on three main areas:

  • Smart marketing and commerce: Improving brand discovery, sales, and measurement to stay ahead of changing technology and consumer behavior.
  • Connected data and cloud systems: Moving key applications and data to Google Cloud to make AI work across Unilever’s entire business.
  • Advanced AI: Speeding up the use of new AI technologies, combining Unilever’s knowledge with Google’s AI to keep Unilever competitive in the market.
