BASF is adding a new product line, WALLTITE RSB, to its spray foam insulation lineup. This new foam is build to be more sustainable, using a mix of recycled as well as renewable materials to help lower carbon footprints. It performs well and aids in catering to the high demand for eco-friendly building materials.
BASF made WALLTITE RSB with a special resin formula that has both recycled as well as biobased materials. This makes it a better alternative for customers searching to lower their environmental impact, with verified benefits like lower carbon emissions.
WALLTITE RSB is in the process of getting USDA BioPreferred® certification as well as has been verified by UL Solutions for its recycled and biobased content. It also has an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) showing that it reduces carbon compared to traditional insulation. This makes WALLTITE RSB a great choice for projects aiming for LEED® certification or following low-carbon building guidelines.
Executive Statement
According to Nancy Houle, BASF Business Director for Spray Polyurethanes North America, they want to create double-added value for their customers by providing high-performance and sustainable solutions. WALLTITE RSB supports green building programs by offering two key advantages: it can improve the energy efficiency throughout the building’s lifespan and lower embodied carbon from the outset of construction.
