Scottish gin brand Edinburgh Gin has added a new low-ABV Raspberry Collins canned cocktail to its RTD range.
The 2% ABV beverage is designed to cater to the tastes of 'moderation-minded' drinkers today, and is launching in preparation for summer in the UK.
It combines Edinburgh Gin's raspberry liqueur with lemon and soda, looking to bring bar-quality refreshment to a convenient 250ml can format.
As per coherent market insights, the canned alcoholic drinks industry will advance at a CAGR of 13.8% from 2025 to 2032. The market is in USD 7.91 Bn in 2025 and will be around USD 19.55 Bn in 2032. The size of the market is driven by increasing demand for convenient, travel-friendly canned beverages.
The NPD draws on the flourishing RTD trend, with Nielsen figures revealing RTDs have risen 8% in value sales in the UK off-trade. Gin-flavoured RTDs have also re-emerged in growth for the first time in two years, and the wider 'nolo' spirits category has achieved 3% value growth year-on-year.
Ella Christie-McCord, brand manager at Edinburgh Gin, added: "The launch of the Raspberry Collins is an exciting addition to our expanding RTD portfolio, providing a colorful, low-ABV offering that responds to consumer demand for convenient solutions without the trade-off on quality or taste.".
The new cocktail is currently stocked in Tesco stores across the country. It sits alongside other RTD alternatives in the range, such as the traditional Gin & Tonic (7.3% ABV) and Rhubarb & Ginger Gin Liqueur with Ginger Ale (5% ABV).
