Golden Acre Foods, a UK foodmaker in the halal food sector, is adding four new products under its Najma and Jaldee Eats brands this August, in time for the back-to-school season.
Najma boasts an assortment of lunchbox favourites, with the 28-strong product range now expanding to include ready-to-eat Najma Halal Wafer Thin Chicken Slices (125g, RRP £2.70) and Najma Halal Spicy Pepperoni Slices (80g, RRP £1.75), and Najma Southern Fried Breaded Chicken Fillets (300g, RRP £3.90), comprised of 100% chicken breast and ready in 15 minutes to re-heat.
Golden Acre's convenience range of halal snacks, Jaldee Eats – appropriately named from the Urdu for quick – is also growing with the launch of Jaldee Eats Spicy Turkey Bites (40g, RRP £1), which has been billed as a perfect lunchbox snack for kids and adults alike seeking handy, halal items.
As per Coherent Market Insights, the halal food industry will reach a 12.8% CAGR from 2025 to 2032. Market size is USD 1,262.45 Bn in 2025 and is anticipated to expand by approximately USD 2,933.44 Bn by 2032. Market size is fueled by increasing Muslim population around the world.
Rebecca Cutter, marketing director at Golden Acre Foods, added: "Families who eat a halal diet in the home but wish to eat Western-style foods that are certified as halal have a particular need when it comes to school lunchboxes, so we are thrilled Tesco will be stocking our new halal lines from our Najma and Jaldee Eats brands this August for back to school, and some of our other retail partners will do the same in the following months."
The products will be rolling out in Tesco stores first, from 11 August and subsequently throughout the month.
Golden Acre Foods, established in 1999, has year-on-year growth and is dedicated to extending the Halal convenience category to be able to offer a variety of options to the 3.9 million Muslims residing across the UK.
